Rental Property Colour Matching

For rental properties, General Paint’s Hi-Hide acrylic latex is used. It has a higher VOC than sherwin williams, however it’s great at covering marks and certain stains in a single coat. Hi-Hide is colour matched to your rental property wall’s sample which is taken from your project wall.

How We Collect Colour Samples

Collecting a colour sample is a question that is often asked by homeowners who usually have an old gallon of paint around, however, we never use old paint, but collect a sample from a wall area of the project. Usually one that is a medium lit area. Why we do this is because the paint on your walls has been exposed to various enviromental conditions that can range from lighting, smoking, cooking, candles, etc., that affects the colour of your walls over time. The paint inside a paint can, however is not exposed to these conditions. For single coat applications, to ensure great coverage, a wall sample is the only way to go. Colour samples taken are painted paper layer removal from drywall that is roughly 2×2 inches in size and is patched accordingly.
